Local author Bill Veselik will be at the Galax Public Library on Saturday, October 19 from 10:00 to noon to share insights on publishing, including for Kindle. His presentation will follow and complement ‘Prep-tober’ activities designed for aspiring writers by the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) non-profit.
Galax Public Library, a designated Come Write In space for NaNoWriMo, asked Veselik to present because he has successfully worked with small publishers and an e-press. Veselik has written 13 novels and 2 non-fiction books.
In addition, Veselik is the author of numerous short stories, including flash fiction published online in an anthology titled “Dark Jesters.” He has been affiliated with the Horror Writers Association, as well as the Virginia Writers Club.
If you have questions about finding and working with editors, identifying niche publishers, or simply want to hear more about the nuts and bolts of the writing process, please plan to attend.
