1000 Things Before Kindergarten
To participate, sign up at the Galax or Carroll County Public Library. You can also fill out a form online & return it.
Your child will receive a free book for every 100 books/activities completed on your activity log, which you will receive when you bring back your completed log. Any child who has not yet entered kindergarten may participate!
This collection from Infobase includes clips from thousands of fun and informative video and audio titles on topics including music and arts, animals, sports and hobbies, math and science, history, reading, plus hundreds of educational interactives — kid-safe and ad-free.
To Dial -A-Story: call 833-690-0646 (toll free) to hear a story read in both English and Spanish. Each Wednesday, a new story will be available to listeners around the state.

HelpNow services include expert academic tutoring and self-study tools to empower users to study at their own pace or collaborate with peers and teachers. A full-service test center offers practice tests for all levels in math, reading, and writing as well as college preparatory tests — including the SAT. Live tutoring is available seven days a week from 2 to 11 p.m.
